Do i need to be a member of ENDO BJJ to compete?
You do not have to be a member of ENDO BJJ to compete at one of our events.  We do not require annual memberships or membership cards for athletes to compete at our events.

Are ENDO BJJ tournaments single or double elimination?
All of our events are double-elimination to ensure that all athletes get the most experience they can when they compete and also get the most bang for their buck. If a division has 5 or less competitors, it will be round-robin.

What is 'sandbagging'?
We work diligently to prevent "sandbagging", the practice of competing in lower skiill levels to ensure one takes home an award.  ENDO BJJ tracks past results from our events and has a list of winners from past events on hand at each event. Sandbagging is grounds for disqualification.

Do i need to be a member of a team to compete?
ENDO BJJ does not require you to be on a team in order to compete.  In fact, up to 40% of the athletes that compete at our events are unaffiliated. ENDO BJJ events are open to all styles: Wrestling, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Japanese Jujitsu, Sambo, Jeet Kune Do, etc. There are no restrictions on what form of grappling you practice. We have divisions for children and adults of all ages and of all skill levels, in both gi and no-gi competition.

What forms of payments does ENDO BJJ accept?
90% of our events are pre-registration only, for those that aren't cash and debit/credit card are accepted day of.  Credit/debit card and paypal are the only forms of payments accepted online.

What happens if I pre-register but are unable to compete?
Grappling is a contact sport where unintentional injury can occur. If a competitor pre-registers and is unable to compete, their entry fee is not forfeited. We do not offer refunds. We will give a credit that can be used to register for another event that takes place within a year of the event date of the tournament you are being issued the credit. You will need to contact the Endo Athletics/ENDO BJJ before the event to notify them that you are not competing. Please email endobjj@gmail.com

ENDO BJJ weigh-in policy.
You are only required to weigh-in once, even if you weigh-in the night before the event. You can weigh-in multiple times (if you do not make the weight you were anticipating to make). Once you accept your weight, it is locked in and you cannot weigh-in again. You are not required to weigh-in with your gi on. Competitors are given a 1.9 pound weight allowance. You will not be disqualified if you do not make a certain weight class. Your weigh-in weight determines the weight class in which you will compete. Adults need to be weighed-in 90 minutes prior to their estimated scheduled division start time.

What happens when my division is called?
Children/Teens: Need to be at their assigned ring at the time listed on the event schedule (normally 9:00 or 10:00 AM). We need you there so we can settle any bracketing issues. For an estimate of when your division will begin, you can consult the referee who is running that ring.
Adults: Divisions follow the order listed above in the schedule. Your division will be sent to an open ring. Please listen for announcements. Once your ring is assigned please head their immediately so you do not miss the division.

What color gi can I wear?

All gi colors are allowed (white, blue, black, red, pink, etc.). Please remember that your gi needs to be clean and meet the IBJJF gi length and material requirements. These requirements can be found HERE. Please only refer to the material and fitment sections of this page.
You do not need to weigh-in with your gi on.
